We ship all orders via NZ Post Couriers. We only charge enough to cover these costs which are $5.35 for standard courier and $11.95 for rural shipping. Orders over $35 ship for free (including rural) and we charge no extra for sending added gifts.

All of our cards have the option to add a personal message. Once you have found your perfect card, click the 'yes' switch and write your message in the green box which pops up. We can format your message for you with spacing etc.

Yes! The Paper People allows you to choose a card online, type your message, and we will print and post it directly from our studio in Dunedin, New Zealand. This saves you weeks in transit and expensive international postage.

Because we fulfill all orders locally within New Zealand, your card will be sent via tracked courier and typically arrives in 1–2 working days, significantly faster than mailing a card from Australia.

We have a selection of gifts you can add to your card. Just add them to your order and we will wrap them and put the recipients name on the envelope and put everything into a courier pack. Orders over $35NZD ship via courier free - this includes rural delivery.

• Naked Cards (Plastic-Free): We hate unnecessary plastic. Your cards are never wrapped in single-use plastic cello sleeves.
• Carbon-Neutral Local Delivery: Because we print and post your cards locally right here in New Zealand, we completely skip the massive carbon footprint of international air freight. Plus, they are delivered using NZ Post's carbon-neutral courier network.
• Giving Back to NZ Waterways: We don't just minimize harm; we actively do good. For every single order placed, we donate to Million Metres and WAI Wānaka to help plant native trees and restore New Zealand’s beautiful waterways.

For shipping enter the recipient's name and address in New Zealand. Please double check you have the address right. 

Tracked courier shipping costs $5.35NZD (rural $11.95) and promises delivery within 1-2 working days. If the address you enter is rural, a rural shipping option will appear. Allow for an extra day to rural addresses. 

We always contact people who enter an incorrect/incomplete address but if we don't hear back from you within 24 hours we issue a refund.We process most orders same day and have even been known to make special trips to the post office for orders made at the end of the day.

We often send multiple cards/gifts to one address and can mark individual's names on the envelopes/gifts. Just leave us a message at checkout. You will need to make seperate orders for each different address you would like to ship to.

As long as you have your recipient's address correct the billing address doesn't normally matter but we will reach out to you if we need to correct it.

The Paper People cannot offer weekend delivery because Saturday delivery is limited to the main centres in NZ and is not very reliable. Many areas in NZ do not have Saturday delivery at all. There is also a significant surcharge for this service and there is no guarantee that it will be delivered on a Saturday. There is no delivery on Sundays or public holidays.
